More “Delta Daggers”

CONVAIR TF-102A-25-CO “DELTA DAGGER”        54-1370                   32nd F.I.S./86th A.D.                U.S.A.F.E.           SOESTERBERG A.B.                        Soesterberg, 1969.

The picture shows us a TF-102A “Delta Dagger” (on a rainy day) on it’s way to the runway.   Together with 54-1363, this was the trainer-version 

of the F-102 in service with 32nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron. In this aircraft, the pilots were seated side by side.

the windshield, is an infrared search and track sensor (IRST).  Note the open speed-brakes (also drag-chute doors).

Between 1959 and 1967, the squadron always had two T-33’s to it’s disposal.
